Neil Diamond preps new album, tour

Following the May 6 release of Home Before Dark, his Rick Rubin-produced album, singer will hit the road.For nearly a decade, Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" has served as the eighth-inning anthem at Boston's Fenway Park during Red Sox home pages.  Now Diamond, 67, is set to perform at the historic ballpark, and the stop will anchor a 37-city North American tour, in support of his forthcoming album, Home Before Dark, which hits stores May 6 via Columbia.Just like Diamond's critically hailed 2006 album, 12 Songs, acclaimed producer Rick Rubin helmed Home Before Dark. The album is Diamond's 27th studio release.
The tour will kick off on July 19 in St. Paul, Minn. And conclude Jacksonville, Florida. Tickets go on sale in some markets beginning April 28, preceded by an American Express presale.
