Norwegian duo Royskopp (aka Svein Berge and Torbjorn Brundtland) deliver their first live album in their relatively short two-album career.Back when their debut album "Melody AM" was released in the UK - selling over 500,000 units - Royskopp were known as a chillout group. Their following album 'Understanding' bought with it a harder edged sound, restricting the calm soothing bleeps and haunting choral passages. "Night Out Live" is a further progression in their quest to find a harder edged sound with more power and more ambition. The album was recorded on one of the last dates of their most recent world tour in Oslo; as well as tracks from their first two albums, they produce a bizarre cover of QOTSA "Go with the Flow", and drawing from their many vocal collaborations, the first track "What else is there" features The Knife's Karin Dreijer. With her vocals rolling over the electronic strings, which themselves morph into the electronic bleeps, the electro gears-up, continuing with the drum induced "Only this Moment" - which sounds excellent, full of precision guitar licks and interchanging vocals.
